What happens after the trial?

Nothing gets charged, because we never asked for a card.

The trial is 30 days and takes no payment details. There’s no Stripe customer until somebody decides to pay, so there’s nothing sitting there to bill you when the clock runs out.

If you do nothing, here’s the timetable. It’s the same one a lapsed payment follows, and the dates are exact rather than “around a month”.

Ten emails. You won’t be surprised by this.

Two things stay true the whole way down.

Collection continues for the first 30 days after the lock. Your dashboard is closed but your data keeps arriving, so paying on day 45 gives you back an unbroken month rather than a hole.

Export works in every single state - trial, grace, locked, dormant, right up to deletion. Portability shouldn’t depend on a payment, and here it doesn’t. The billing screens stay open too, since locking someone out of the page where they’d pay you is a strange way to run a business.

Pay at any point before day 90 and everything comes back, usually within 15 seconds. After day 90 it’s gone; paying then buys a new account.
